ELECTRONIC SIGNATURE CAPTURE

This programme is a PC based system for the capture, storage and printing of signatures as vehicles are checked in and out at multiple, busy sites. Both the driver and an employee were legally required to sign for each visit.

The application was developed to run in four distinct modes, as it will be installed in around 100 different UK sites, each of which may operate slightly differently. At each installation, up to three signature pads work together inter-actively to display meaningful prompts and capture the signatures as required. Signatures are captured and hotspot buttons on the screens allow the employee or driver to abort the transaction, clear their signature or proceed, including trapping to ensure a signature is present.

One major requirement of the system was robustness and the ability to recover from such things as power cuts, PC crashes and worse. The system has been successfully delivered and installed. It is in daily use.

This particular application did not require it, but compumark also have the know how to capture forensically accepted signatures.
